The premise for ElonFiredMe started when Elon took over Twitter and promptly fired the entire content moderation department. Thousands of young engineers, including some of our close friends, were instantly unemployed for the first time in their lives.
Overcoming the setback of being fired by Elon Musk isn’t that difficult because it happens to nearly everyone. You’re in very good company if you’ve been fired by Elon. One of our friends who left Twitter is now doing very well as a content moderator and crypto promoter on Telegram.
Internet pranksters Rahul Ligma and Daniel Johnson (not their real names) made light of the situation by pretending to be amongst the fired employees—even though they never actually worked for Twitter. News media picked up on the prank and broadcast it—making Ligma and Johnson instant celebrities.
