What is Farasha?
FARASHA is creating solutions to prevent and monitor cardiovascular pathologies using new technologies. Our team of 14 people is supported by a medical & sports board in the conception and testing of our products and services.
At the core of the project is our blockchain, allowing users to safely exchange information whenever they use our devices & solutions. Information is exchanged anonymously between parties and that is vital for us as a team, for our clients and for the patients.
As of today, we have already accomplished important milestones: 2 out 3 products are developed, we have beta versions of our services and platforms, and the construction of the blockchain is in progress.
The Problem
CVDs are considered the first cause of death globally. Almost 18 million deaths every year, out of which 75% happened in low- and middle-income countries.
Direct and Indirect costs including treatments and loss of productivity are gigantic AND they are not expected to decrease soon. In 2010, global costs of CVDs reached USD 863 billion and by 2030 it is expected to grow to USD1.044 billion.
